“The journey to excellence begins with one step.”

About Us

The central focus of the Artemis Young Writers Institute is to provide structured insight on how to expand the writing skills of high school students in preparation for their transition to collegiate-level writing. To reach targeted demographics, the AYWI activated a partnership to support the need of students involved with the Federal Trio Program at Morehouse College, Atlanta Metropolitan College, and Savannah State University.  In addition, the AYWI has hosted summer writing camps at Maynard H. Jackson High School, Therrell High School, and Alonzo A. Crim High School; all are Atlanta inner-city schools that service a financially-challenged population, which have prescribed goals to expand student writing proficiency.

Our Vision

The Artemis Young Writers Institute functions as a 501 (c) (3) entity that serves as a supplemental educational resource to the public school system. We are committed to building successfully into tomorrow through strategic youth development.  Indeed, an investment in education can transform any community.

Summer Writing Camp

The AYWI understands that it is essential for students to receive supplemental support to overcome a plethora of complexities introduced in youth development.  Our workshops create an atmosphere that promotes discussion on topics that will assist students to properly cope with distractions and provide working solutions to problems.  From this, students become armed with resources to ensure fulfillment of prescribed academic goals in a sound manner.
